Last year a TV news story displayed footage of 2 Year 7 girls from a Perth high school hurling abuse at each other. Eventually the argument turned physical and punches were thrown. All the while, the combatants were being urged on by those around them, including the person filming. In this latest incident, we see yet another heartless attack by 3 teenage girls on a girl in Moe, Victoria. Once again the violence carried out, to the perpetrators at least, seems just the normal way of life.
Facebook have recently introduced its latest installment - Messenger Kids. Children aged from 6 to 12, can now be softly and cautiously lured into the Facebook network, right under the noses of their parents. Facebook is once again testing the boundaries of Social Networking and many are justifiably sceptical about their motifs. The Social Networking giant has announced the release with the their usual self proclaimed heroism, boasting how committed they are to the protection of children and touting that Messenger Kids has been introduced because 'it is what parents want'!...
As part of the 16’s Development Program the South Fremantle Warriors recently held an educational camp at Fremantle Oval. Whilst it was a great opportunity for the final squad members to begin their understanding of the game plan, structures and set-ups that will help them perform on the field, the camp also focused on areas off the field we see critical in helping them achieve their dreams and aspirations as footballers.
